2. What is HEPA filter function?

There is no lower brush that needs to be cleaned or replaced

4. Will Hovo 650 continue to do vacuuming after battery is recharged?

No. You can press CLEAN key on remote control to continue vacuuming after battery is completely recharged.

5. Can Hovo 650 mop the floor?

Hovo 650 model has two extra features; UV light to kill germs and mopping pad to mop hard surface floors. See photo below:

The mop pad can be dry or wet. You can fill water tank reservoir with tap water or cleaning solution like Bona® Hardwood Floor Cleaner. Water or cleaning solution inside reservoir will continue to seep out onto the mopping cloth slowly. It works like Pro-Clean reservoir of iRobot® Braava floor mopping robot.

6. Should Hovo 650 remain at charging base in order for scheduler to work?

No. Hovo 650 can be anywhere. When pre-programmed time is up, then Hovo 650 will start to do cleaning function.

One year unit warranty and 6 months battery warranty.

10. How to charge the battery correctly?

Turn on power switch on the unit side before recharge battery. Otherwise, E10 error code will show up.

There are two ways to recharge battery, manual charging and Auto charging. Please refer to page 7 of user manual for details.

12. How does Hovo 650 search for Self-Charging Station?


Hovo 650 is smart to find charging station since RF signal is used between unit and base. The docking process is much faster than other models on market.

13. Can I move charging station to different location and not lost time setting?

Yes. You can move charging station any time since remote control unit saves the clock time and scheduler time.

15. How to detect when the dust bin is full and when to empty debris inside dust bin?

There will be alert when dust bin is full or vacuum passage is blocked. Please empty dust bin, clean vacuum passage and clean air filter.

16. What is the purpose of edge cleaning mode?

Move the unit close to wall or corner and press edge cleaning icon on remote control to clean corners and along the wall.

17. Can I use remote control to do spot cleaning?

Yes. It is easy to direct Hovo 650 movement via remote control direction buttons. While Hovo 650 is moving, it is also cleaning.

You can move Hovo 650 to dirty area and let it do spot cleaning. It has dirt detection feature to do more cleaning on dirty area and move to other area when dirty area is cleaned.

18. Is Hovo 650 good to clean thicker carpets? Can it go over area rugs with tassels and if gets stuck reverse and move on?

Hovo 650 can clean carpets that are thick up to 1/2". Hovo 650 can climb up 1/2" carpet. It will not go over rug with tassels since the roller brush will not do reverse action like Roomba unit.

Why does my robot move in circles?

Check your unit's wheel and make sure there is no hair or debris stuck in it. Also use your hand to check if you can rotate the wheels freely. If your wheels are clean and can rotate freely, then you may need to buy a new wheel or send your unit in for repair.

If your unit moves clockwise, then your right wheel has issues. If your unit moves counter-clockwise, then your left wheel has issues. Check the video below for further guidance
